to participate in the 2008 Responsive Access to Space Technology Exchange (RASTE), May 19-23 in Dayton, Ohio at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The 2008 Responsive Access to Space Technology Exchange (RASTE) brings key members of the space community together providing opportunity to share, exchange and transition technology to be used in the next generation space launch vehicles. By establishing and fostering this open exchange of information between engineers, developers, planners, and managers in the community, RASTE promotes collaboration accelerating the development of the emerging commercial space launch industry. |

International Space Development Conference 2008, The New Pace of Space Washington, D.C., May 29 - June 1 2008. The theme for ISDC 2008 is "The New Pace of Space." With NASA fully engaged in building the next generation of space exploration vehicles, and the commercial space sector beginning to test fly their new personal spaceships, we have entered the next space age. Washington, D.C. is the nexus for space policy, and the 2008 conference will take place in the midst of the upcoming presidential election campaign. Our goal is to engage the public, industry and decision-makers in an open and positive discussion of the future of space exploration and development. |

The 11th Annual International Mars Society Conference Boulder, CO, 14 - 17 August 2008. The Mars Society advocates exploration of Mars in the near-term, using currently available technology. Highlights of the convention will include the latest results from the Phoenix Mars Lander, Spirit, Opportunity, Mars Express, and the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter missions now exploring the Red Planet. In addition, there will be updates on the Hubble Space Telescope and Cassini-Huygens mission.
The agenda will also include a wide assortment of panels and debates concerning key issues bearing on Mars exploration and settlement, a banquet with lots of fun entertainment, and plenary addresses from manyprominent leaders of the effort to get humans to Mars. Speakers include 'Pete' Worden, Elon Musk, George Whitesides, Scott Horowitz and Dr Buzz Aldrin (tentative). |
