NewSpace 2006 Business Plan Competition
"Call for Entries" |
Over the next few years new space companies will begin to transform many aspects of the broader space industry. With the ongoing development of new launch options, lower cost spacecraft, advanced satellite technologies, and viable space tourism ventures, the industry is entering a critical inflection point, one in which entrepreneurs are driving change.
This year's Space Frontier Foundation Annual Conference, NewSpace 2006, will feature a business plan competition for space entrepreneurs. The competition will be a competitive and educational experience for participants and audience members. Notable investors and advisors will be present to hear and judge the plans during the interactive competition, offering constructive feedback and guidance as required. The NewSpace 2006 Business Plan Competition promises to be a must attend event for companies seeking to obtain exposure, professional feedback, and investor leads.
Entrepreneurial space companies who are interested in participating in this rewarding competition are asked to submit a 1-3 page executive summary of their plan by July 10th to amaresh@spacefrontierfoundation.org. Amaresh Kollipara is an entrepreneur and a former Accenture executive who will screen the entries. Entries should have some relation to space related markets such as space transportation, space robotics, space-related entertainment, remote sensing, space communications, materials sciences, life support green technologies, etc. Companies selected to present will be asked to submit a 10 minute presentation in advance of the competition. A guideline for presentations can be found at the link below. Special thanks to Mark Zetter of Golden Capital Network for the templates and formats we will use for this competition.
